Website Changes

Here is an outline of all the website changes that are occurred or will occur.

Events Page - due to upgrades provided by Wix to their events app, we have decided to go back to using this app vs. the created pages that we have been most recently. This page replaces the Calendar page

Added functionality:

• Automated emails after registration and reminders a couple days before the event.

• Add to calendar button to add automatically to your iCal, Google cal, etc.

• Ability to share on social media

These pages have been removed:

• Who's going?

• My RSVPs

• Calendar - events will be added here for all of 2019 in a list format

• RSVP pages

While these pages have been beneficial in the past, there is no way to link Wix Events to these pages and the maintenance of the database for the officers outweighs the benefit of those pages.

We have thoroughly discussed the benefits and functionality that will be lost, this is the best decision to keep the club and the website up to date and easy to use for everyone!

Personal Contact Info - I will be adding an option in the profile and new membership registration pages to allow members to opt in or out of sharing your name, email, and phone number on a Members Only page for other club members to access.
